11 Apr, 2023
Under GRAPE action, ICIMOD Living Mountain Lab conducted a training on sustainable harvesting and processing practises of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) for five Godavari-based community user forest groups.
The participants were trained on the availability of MAPs in the Godavari landscape, sustainable harvest practises, and the distillation of essential oils.
The training aimed to promote the adaptation of sustainable MAP harvesting practises to protect biodiversity and the health of the ecosystem in the Godavari landscape, while building skills for sustainable income generation.
