With the aim of enhancing climate resilient apple production in the region, farmers in the selected working municipalities in Humla and Bajura have recently completed a comprehensive training in apple orchard management facilitated by the GRAPE programme.

 

The training included basic aspects of apple production, orchard management techniques, integrated irrigation strategies, and advanced post-harvest techniques. Participants delved into topics such as nursery establishment, transplanting, pruning, and the essential materials and methods indispensable for successful apple farming. The training is expected to equip the farmers with the knowledge and skills required to cultivate thriving apple orchards, fostering a future for both their harvests and local economies.
