The Himalayan Future Forum, supported by the GRAPE programme, took place on February 16 and 17, fostering multi-faceted dialogues on the Himalayas. The event united stakeholders across countries and sectors to address shared challenges and explore scalable solutions.

As part of this programme, GRAPE hosted a panel discussion on Agroecology in the Himalayas. The expert panel provided invaluable insights into current agroecological practices which was moderated by Ms. Binija Nepal, Component Manager of the GRAPE project.

Discussions focused on addressing issues such as monocropping, soil degradation, and the impacts of climate change. As we navigate environmental challenges, reevaluating agricultural practices across the Himalayas becomes paramount for long-term sustainability and resilience.
