Based on the ICIMOD/GRAPE team's visit to Karnali in November 2022, the article explores agroecological farming there and also includes agroeconomic farming in a wider context. The advantages of agroecological farming and the trend away from chemical inputs are explored, along with present and upcoming changes on a worldwide scale. Also a brief discussion of GRAPE's role in helping Nepal promote agroecological farming was discussed.
