Adversity to Achievement: Urmila Ghale’s Journey of Determination
“Now, I try to resolve issues over phone calls and visit farms along the way,” says Urmila Ghale, a resident of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City Ward-14, Kailali District in Sudurpaschim Province. Urmila embodies tenacity and willpower in the face of adversity. Her journey began in 2061 with a grant of a piglet from the District Livestock Service Office (DLSO), Kailali. As the only woman from her community to undertake a 15-day Community Livestock Assistant (CLA) training in Pokhara while carrying a small baby on her lap, Urmila faced numerous challenges to build her own enterprises.
आलुको बीउ जोगाउन गाउँमै ‘रस्टिक स्टोर’
अन्नबालीको खेतीले गुजरा चलेन । दुख अनुसार उत्पादन पनि भएन । अनि किसानले आलुखेती गर्न थाले । सुहाउँदो हावापानी भएकाले आलुखेती फस्टायो । सुर्खेतको वीरेन्द्रनगर नगरपालिका वडा नं १६ का किसानले आलुको खेती थाले ।

Researchers from Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) applied life cycle sustainability assessment (LCA) for an agricultural product in Nepal for the first time. LCA is a holist method and looks beyond single stages of the production. This study provided new knowledge on the sustainability of the goat production in a changing environment.

Usually, he does not need to set an alarm for the morning as he often wakes up after receiving calls from farmers regarding livestock health issues.
Transforming Education through Technological Demonstration
Shree Bhairav Secondary School, situated in the remote village of Naumule Rural Municipality-1, Dailekh, has a remarkable history of growth and transformation. Founded in 2017 BS as a primary institution, it gradually expanded to offer secondary education by 2035 BS and higher secondary education by 2064 BS, becoming a crucial center of learning. In 2076 BS, the school embarked on a new journey by introducing agriculture (plant science) classes from Grade 9 to 12, laying the foundation for an innovative approach to education.
