Recently, in partnership with the Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), ICIMOD conducted a two-day orientation on effective data collection, entry, and data management. The training which took place in Chitwan brought together master students, research assistants, young faculty members from AFU, Far -Western and Mid-West Universities, as well as selected research grantees.

The participants gained skills in research concepts, sampling, designing field-appropriate data collection tools, gathering data with protocol adherence, ensuring quality data entry, and understanding data management principles which are used to conduct action research in Karnali and Sudurpashcim provinces.
