With the aim of improving apple production in the region and thereby supporting the growth of the local economy, 26 farming households in Swamikartik Khapar, Bajura, were recently trained in apple orchard management by the GRAPE programme. The training covered aspects such as apple production, effective orchard management techniques, integrated irrigation management, and post-harvest processing. Participants also learned about nursery establishment, transplanting, pruning, and the necessary materials and methods for successful apple farming.
