Simkot Rural Municipality, Amargadhi Municipality, and Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City secured the top three spots in the Business Climate Survey (BCS) 2024, acknowledged at the National Dissemination Workshop on April 25th in Kathmandu. Organized by the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation (MoLCPA) with the support of #LPED/GRAPE, this event recognized the exemplary efforts of these municipalities in fostering favorable business environments.

The event had the graceful presence of Mr. Krishna Prasad Sapkota, Joint Secretary of MoLCPA as the chair, Ms. Eloisa Astudillo, Deputy Head of Cooperation from the EU, Dr. Stephan Russek, Deputy Head of Mission (German Embassy) and Ms. Sara Alanen, Head of Cooperation (Embassy of Finland) were the special guests representing the #TeamEurope.

The workshop served as a platform to showcase critical insights derived from the BCS 2024 survey conducted across 19 municipalities of Karnali and Sudurpaschim, providing a comprehensive analysis of each municipality's economic and climate-smart governance performance.
