Final ''Global Talk Series'' Held

24 Sep, 2024
GRAPE in collaboration with Global Shapers Kathmandu Hub, hosted its fourth and final ‘Global Talk Series’ on ‘Climate Adapted Farming: Adapting Agriculture to Changing Climates’ at Dusit Princess Kathmandu on September 20, 2024.

The event featured a panelist from Nepal; Alisha Madhavi Magar, Founder/Chairperson at Himalaya Agroecology along with two international speakers; Jill Leaness, Global Youth Programs Director and Jennifer Fei, Global Shapers Programs Senior Associate at The Climate Reality Project who delved into the country's evolving agricultural landscape. The discussion built on previous conversations around the role of technology, water management, and policies in supporting climate-resilient farming.

Additionally, the session showcased key takeaways from two workshops organized by the Global Shapers Kathmandu on climate-resilient agriculture (CRA) in the Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces of Nepal. As this marks the conclusion of the series, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Global Shapers Kathmandu Hub for their invaluable cooperation throughout. This partnership has been instrumental in advancing dialogue on sustainable agricultural practices.
