Inter-municipal dialogue stimulating an open conversation on LED issues

A 2-day inter-municipal dialogue stimulating an open conversation on Local Economic Development (LED) issues, challenges and solutions was organized by the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) in Lumbini Sanskritik municipality. The event was supported by GRAPE and LPED and took place during the first week of December.

Participants were elected officials of more than 25 municipalities, Chief Administrative Officers (CAO), and representatives of the private and cooperative sectors.

During the second part of the event, participants were oriented on MoFAGA’s new local economic development guidelines and funding options for municipalities who aim to support LED initiatives in the areas of economic empowerment and enterprise development.
