Off-seasonal vegetable farming- Poly house farming technology training in Bajura and Dailekh
Supported by the GRAPE programme, farmers in Bajura and Dailekh recently completed comprehensive training in off-seasonal vegetable farming, with a focus on poly house technology.
Agri-equipment distribution in close coordination with municipalities
This International Women’s Day highlights the need for investment in women in order to accelerate progress. Recognizing that women bear the majority of agricultural responsibilities in Nepal, recently, in close coordination with local municipal-level authorities (Palikas), the GRAPE programme facilitated the distribution of 64 mini tillers, 34 of them equipped with potato ridge makers, to women farmers' groups and cooperatives across Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. These agri- equipment specifically focuses to ease tasks for women, minimizing labor-intensive practices, reducing drudgery, enhancing efficiency and boosting overall productivity in the agricultural sector.
Progress Shared by Partner municipalities on GRAPE Implementation
Supported by the GRAPE, Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation (MoLCPA) organized a two-day workshop on sharing the implementation status of Joint Activities by partner municipalities on February 28-29, 2024, in Nepalgunj.

A 3-day Training of Trainers (ToT), aimed at equipping participants to run inclusive foresight workshops covering various strategic topics was conducted in Nepalgunj and Mahendranagar as part of the GRAPE programme, led by National Resources Institute Finland (LUKE). Drawing the Participants from 19 Municipalities the stage was set for a potential methodological addition into the strategic planning.
